A group of lecturers from the Faculty of Informatics at Telkom University carried out a community service program focusing on the development of the harvest prediction E-Buruan Sae. The initiative took place on June 30, 2025, in collaboration with DKPP Bandung and farmer groups actively using the app. Led by Dr. Rahmat Yasirandi together with Ahda Yunia Sekar Fardhani and Dr. Jati Hiliamsyah Husen, the program reflects Telkom University’s commitment to empowering society with technology, in line with research from CoE CAATIS.
Functionality of Harvest Prediction E-Buruan Sae
Originally, the E-Buruan Sae app only served to record harvested crops. With the new harvest prediction E-Buruan Sae, farmers can estimate harvest time and yield volume using historical data and planting schedules. This innovation enables more accurate planning of agricultural activities and contributes to food security in Bandung, complementing smart farming initiatives also promoted by CoE CAATIS
Training and Farmer Empowerment
The program also included training to ensure farmers could make the most of the new technology. Participants found the materials practical, easy to understand, and beneficial for their farming routines.
Future Potential of Harvest Prediction E-Buruan Sae
The harvest prediction E-Buruan Sae is an important step toward smart farming, helping farmers address challenges such as climate change and pest infestations. The collaboration between Telkom University and DKPP Bandung opens opportunities for integration of advanced technologies, an area continuously explored by CoE CAATIS.
