The Center of Excellence for Sustainable Governance (BEST) focuses its activities on two strategic areas: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and governance. This focus drives BEST to adopt a long-term governance perspective that emphasizes the balance between economic, social, and environmental dimensions—commonly known as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

In addition, BEST highlights the importance of innovation and adaptability in responding to global change dynamics. The concepts developed by BEST are designed to be continuously evolving and applicable across sectors, including government, the private sector, civil society, and academia.
