Established in 2018, the company has consistently delivered innovative solutions designed to create a positive impact on society while supporting government efforts in safeguarding environmental sustainability.
Why Focus on the Environment
The idea behind Biru Langit emerged from concerns about overlooked environmental issues in Indonesia, such as air pollution, rainfall quality, and soil health. These elements play a vital role in daily life—air is breathed every second, water is consumed daily, and soil sustains agriculture and ecosystems. Recognizing this urgency, Biru Langit developed technological tools that can measure, monitor, and provide accurate data to ensure better environmental awareness and action.
Products and Functions
The products offered by Biru Langit cover multiple aspects of environmental monitoring. For air quality, the company has created devices for both indoor and outdoor use, along with a portable air sensor suitable for personal use during outdoor activities such as sports. For rainwater monitoring, their instruments can detect harmful substances including heavy metals like lead and arsenic. Meanwhile, the soil monitoring devices assess whether specific particles or hazardous materials are present, which may affect environmental and human health.
Real-World Implementation
So far, Biru Langit’s innovations have been implemented in several Telkom Indonesia buildings, including TLT Jakarta, Multimedia Building Jakarta, and Telkom Surabaya. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its impact by installing around 25 new monitoring points across Jakarta by the end of August, in collaboration with environmental organizations and the regional Environmental Agency (DLH).
Future Outlook
With its continuous innovation, Biru Langit envisions its technology becoming widely adopted by both government agencies and the general public. The long-term mission is to contribute to a healthier Indonesia, supported by transparent and accessible environmental quality data.
