
Telkom University Shared Commitment to Human Resource Development
Telkom University, through the Center of Excellence (CoE) Smart Tourism and Hospitality (STH), participated in the Gapura Sapta Pesona Program in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Tourism and Culture Office. This partnership was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on November 10, 2025, between both parties, represented by:
- Dr. Iendra Sofyan, S.T., M.Si., Head of the West Java Provincial Tourism and Culture Office
- Angga Rusdinar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, and Partnership at Telkom University
This collaboration focuses on the 2025 Gapura Sapta Pesona Community Service Program of West Java Province as part of efforts to strengthen regional tourism development through synergy between the government and universities.
Scope of the Cooperation Agreement: Assistance and Management of Five Winning Tourism Villages in the 2025 West Java Gapura Sapta Pesona Award
The scope of this Cooperation Agreement includes assistance and management of five winning tourist villages from the West Java Province Gapura Sapta Pesona Program 2025 by Telkom University to the West Java Province Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud Jabar). The five tourism villages are:
- Karang Pakuan Tourism Village, Sumedang Regency
- Pangulah Utara Tourism Village, Karawang Regency
- Keberagaman Proklim Tourism Village, Cirebon City
- Jalatrang Tourism Village, Ciamis Regency
- Odeon Tourism Village, Sukabumi City
The development activities will focus on five main aspects, such as the structuring and revitalization of tourism villages/hamlets, strengthening the governance of tourism villages/hamlets, improving accessibility and connectivity, innovation and diversification of tourism products, and collaborative campaigns and promotions. These various assistance activities are expected to produce several strategic targets, including Tourism Village Master Plan, Financial Application, Management Pocket Book, Business and Program Package Tourism Village
Through this initiative, Telkom University affirms its commitment to supporting the sustainable development of tourism in West Java. The program is expected to encourage the improvement of tourism human resource competencies through easily accessible digital learning, enhance the quality of tourism services, and strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of destinations through the active participation of local communities.
