Telkom University and BPJPH formalize their collaboration to strengthen the Halal Product Assurance ecosystem and implement JPH training programs

Telkom University and the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the establishment of the Halal Product Assurance (JPH) Training Implementing Institution. The signing took place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the HI Roundabout during the Jakarta Halal Market event, and was attended by several partner institutions, including PT Trans Digital Media.

The PKS was formally signed by Ahmad Haikal Hasan, Head of BPJPH, and the Rector of Telkom University, represented by Ir. Sri Widaningrum, M.T., Ph.D., as the Head of the JPH Training Implementing Institution at Telkom University.

Structurally, the JPH Training Implementing Institution operates under the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Smart MSME & Halal Ecosystem (SHE), one of the Centers of Excellence within Telkom University.

This collaboration marks a strategic step in strengthening Indonesia’s halal product assurance ecosystem. It also reinforces the synergy between government institutions, higher education, and various stakeholders to accelerate halal certification and support the development of a sustainable national halal ecosystem.

The PKS serves as the foundation for Telkom University to conduct JPH training programs, which currently include halal supervisor training for both MSMEs under self-declaration and regular schemes, as well as regular non-MSME halal supervisor training. Through these programs, Telkom University aims to support entities such as SPPG MBG in meeting the growing need for qualified halal supervisors.

In addition, leveraging its institutional expertise, Telkom University also offers technical training and guidance for companies in building and implementing a Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), supported by digital technologies—ensuring efficient, reliable, and sustainable SJPH implementation within the industry.
