Campus–Industry Collaboration Drives AI-Based Digital Transformation
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, through Telkom AI Connect by Telkom Regional II, once again held a seminar titled “Campus–Industry Collaboration in Accelerating AI-Based Digital Transformation.” This event continued the previous series in Bandung with LLDIKTI Region IV, and this time collaborated with LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta. The seminar was attended by dozens of representatives from universities, institutions, and Telkom’s strategic partners, reflecting strong enthusiasm for strengthening partnerships between academia and industry.
Campus–Industry Collaboration Drives AI-Based Digital Transformation
Fellow speakers included Telkom University Rector Prof. Dr. Suyanto, ITB AI Center researcher Dr. Eng. Ayu Purwarianti, Telkomsel VP of Data and AI Management Ari Sondang Widyanto Sabarani, and Telkom Deputy EGM Digital Product Fauzan Feisal. The panel discussed AI research progress, technology adoption challenges, and the role of Telkom AI Center of Excellence in developing Indonesia’s AI talent and ecosystem. Through this initiative, Telkom reaffirms its commitment to building a Business to University (B2U) ecosystem focused on creating shared value between education and industry. The collaboration opens opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in the industry, encourages the involvement of professional lecturers, and supports the development of curricula aligned with the needs of the digital sector. The panel discussions also highlighted the role of AI in enhancing national competitiveness — from academic research and learning processes to operational efficiency driven by intelligent technologies.
Building a National AI Ecosystem
Telkom AI Connect serves as a bridge between academia, industry, and government to accelerate AI-based digital transformation in Indonesia. The event also featured demonstrations of various digital innovations such as Netmonk, Pijar Sekolah, Antares Eazy, and OCA Indonesia, showcasing how AI enhances network monitoring, digital campus management, and smart communication solutions.
