
Telkom University’s Commitment to Sustainability
Telkom University is strongly committed to the principles of sustainability through the development of eco-friendly innovations and the implementation of green technologies across various aspects of the campus. This commitment is reflected in its research, education, and community engagement initiatives that focus on sustainable solutions to social and environmental challenges. With a spirit of collaboration, Telkom University continues to play an active role in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.
Telkom University’s Contribution to Sustainability at ISF
RI IBSE along with Bandung Techno Park, representing Telkom University, participated in the Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025 to showcase the university’s commitment to sustainable development on the global stage. Telkom University was also one of the exhibitors at the Science Corner, led by Universitas Indonesia, alongside other leading institutions such as Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Pertanian Bogor University, and Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. Through this participation, Telkom University reaffirmed its role as an innovative higher education institution contributing to the advancement of green solutions and environmentally conscious technologies.
COE Innovations Presented
The innovation presented was the Portable Water Ionizer, an eco-friendly water technology that produces alkaline water beneficial for health, particularly for individuals with certain medical conditions. This innovation not only supports improved quality of life but also demonstrates a tangible step toward environmentally responsible technology. In addition, Telkom University introduced the Prepaid Smart Water System, an intelligent prepaid water system designed to enhance efficiency and transparency in water usage. The Portable Water Ionizer was developed by Dr. Ekki Setiawan, S.T., M.T., affiliated under the Center of Excellence for Sustainable Energy and Climate Change (CoE SECC), while the Prepaid Smart Water System was innovated by Dr. Hanif Fakhrurroja. These innovations represent Telkom University’s dedication to creating sustainable solutions for a greener and more inclusive future.
